Thistle and Bug

I was on my way to Moab and stopped to shoot the hills on one side of the road. After taking the pictures, I happened to glance down and saw this amazing thistle with a bug on its tip. Wow... It's amazing what you can see when to stop insisting on what is 'important' as a picture.

Driving the interior roads next to the Colorado River on BLM lands. There was a turn off. I took it.

Colorado Sundown

This was my bedroom while I was in Moab. Best room in the place. I took the road just beyond the edge of this image, and slept where there was a big turnout. The sunrise was my prize.

Unnamed Monument

I was on my way to Newspaper Rock when I came upon these lone hills. The wind, rain and elements carving away bowel-like sections in their faces. When I edited the image I began to see it without color and went that direction. The sepia outcome works for me. You?
